Life Skills - BOOM CARDS - Time - Telling Time - Analog Clocks - Math

Are you looking for a fun way to practice some time skills with your students? This fun activity has students search for items in the dark by using a flashlight. Students will be given a visual picture of an analog clock and then will be asked to find that time again using a flashlight. They will slide the flashlight around the screen until they find the correct time. Once they find the time, they simply press next and move onto the next time! Please note that these boom cards do not mark answers as right or wrong. Students simply press next once they have found the matching item.

How I Use This in My Classroom:

I like to work in small groups for this activity. I have students take turns finding the matching times on the clocks. For lower level students, you can use this lesson to have them simply match the times on the analog clock. For higher level learners, you can ask them what time it shows on the clock and then have them go and try and find it using the flashlight. Additionally, you can ask them what type of activities they are doing at that time (AM vs PM, etc.). All levels of students can work on real world math and reading skills with relevant and meaningful content that is truly functional! This is a great way to engage in real world conversations in a developmentally appropriate manner!
