Life Skills Math + Money: Dollar Up - Valentine's Day Edition

This is a fun Valentine's Day themed Dollar Up Activity that can easily be implemented in any special education classroom!!

The Dollar Up Strategy encourages students with disabilities to round up to the next dollar to eliminate the need to count change. For example: if a ring costs $22.24, a student would round up to $23.

This download encourages students to practice this strategy with Valentine's Day themed items. All of these are very appropriate for teenagers with special needs - no baby-ish clip art here!

Students will be asked to count the total number of bills needed using $1 and $5 bills!
